Be the first friendly face patients see in our Emergency Department. Wayne General Hospital is hiring a Day Shift ED Registration Clerk to support fast, accurate patient check-in and outstanding customer service.
What You’ll Do:
Greet and register ED patients quickly and accurately- Verify insurance and collect co-pays
- Answer phones and route calls appropriately
- Protect patient privacy (HIPAA compliant)
- Work closely with clinical staff to keep patient flow moving
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent- Medical registration or front-office experience preferred
- Insurance verification & EHR experience (Cerner a plus)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced ED environment
- Bilingual a plus
