What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clerk position at Park Place Pharmacy?
Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience and ability.
The position is for the most important position in our pharmacy: Clerk. The clerks are the face of our pharmacy and must have excellent customer service.
Our clerks provide exceptional, unequaled customer service to each person entering the pharmacy; greeting customers, assisting them with OTC items, checking them out, and maintaining the cleanliness of the pharmacy.
Standards: HS diploma. Must be able to adapt and excel in a fast-paced environment. Name badge and clean appearance (scrubs, scrub jacket, name badge). Customers will be greeted with a smile and verbal acknowledgement and thanked for their patronage. Oral and written communications with vendors, healthcare professionals, and customers will be of the highest professional caliber.
A typical workday involves helping the pharmacist and technicians open the store: turning lights on, opening registers, etc. During the day, this person uses an app to order OTC merchandise. We have a task list that helps guide us throughout the day. We have many vendors, so we must maintain a professional relationship with them. With any business, logistics are important. Our OTC buyer/clerk works with our primary wholesaler and other vendors to make sure we have what is needed.
Although this is not a physically demanding position, one must be able to carry light boxes, place items on top and bottom shelves, and walk up stairs.
Attitude is everything! The rest, we can teach.
Previous retail experience highly preferred. If you haven't worked with planograms, we can teach that. But it is a lot easier to come in with experience. Must be able to cover evenings or weekends in the event we have an emergency.
Position agreement available (email us at parkplacepharmacy AT gmail.com).
The schedule is flexible and open to discussion and should meet the needs of the pharmacy. We are open Monday through Friday 8am-7pm, Saturday 9am-4pm and Sunday 1-5pm.
