Key Responsibilities
- Enter and process data to update records and documents
- Type and prepare forms, reports, correspondence, and other materials
- Serve as a receptionist and provide basic information to visitors or callers
- Sort, distribute, and manage incoming mail
- Maintain paper and electronic filing systems
- Assist with recordkeeping, including tracking and updating information
- Operate standard office equipment (copiers, calculators, etc.)
- Perform other clerical duties as needed

Must meet the requirements of the Ontario County Civil Service:
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED OR
- One (1) year of clerical or office experience (full-time or part-time equivalent)
- Relevant higher education may be used in place of the above requirements
- Basic understanding of office procedures and terminology
- Comfortable using computers and typing (minimum 35 words per minute)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stay organized and manage routine tasks independently
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
