Primary Purpose
Position Duties
Handle the daily administrative support tasks and functions of the Office of Student Activities, including answering phones, processing paperwork, assisting students, assigning student parking decals, issuing student identification cards, and distributing student planners.
Hire, train, and supervise work-study students for the Office of Student Activities and the Wayne Community College (WCC) Fitness Center.
Assist the Director of Student Activities in planning and executing student events and activities throughout the academic year.
Serve as a co-advisor to the Student Government Association and the WCC Student Ambassador Program.
Facilitate, promote, and assist with student recognition and award nominations, presentation events, and graduation activities.
Assist the Director in overseeing first aid and health services for students.
Support student registration and recruiting activities both on campus and within the community.
Position Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree
- One year of customer service–related experience
- Proficient in the use of computers and related software, including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated outstanding customer service and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- National Career Readiness Certificate
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
