Description Of Duties
- Performs skilled operations in the repair and overhaul of gasoline and diesel motor equipment, including cars, trucks, tractors, buses and other school equipment.
- Ensures all vehicles are maintained in accordance with DOT standards, identifies issues to be corrected and makes recommendations to the Head Mechanic.
- Assists in the maintenance of the physical building and grounds.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- May act as a substitute school bus driver as needed.
- Must be 21 years of age
- Hold current CDL license, Class B license or training is available
- Satisfy Civil Service & DMV Article 19 qualifications
- Have a clean driving record
- Demonstrates ability to work with children, staff and community
