Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines (diesel and gasoline), transmissions, powertrain components, suspension, steering, brakes, shocks & struts, and alignments.
- Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and tire rotations to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to disassemble, repair, or replace faulty parts.
- Diagnose and repair ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other automotive electrical systems with precision.
- Perform auto body repairs such as welding or minor panel work as needed to restore vehicle integrity.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks accurately, and communicate clearly with customers about repairs needed and completed work.
Experience
- Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, powertrain components, and auto electrical systems is essential.
- Familiarity with schematics reading, automotive electrical troubleshooting, welding techniques, and suspension/alignment procedures.
- Prior experience with brake repair, air brake systems (nice-to-have), tire service, shocks & struts replacement is preferred.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients.
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
