Salary Range: 147,175.00 - 167,475 per year
Must be onsite in Boston, MA (Monday-Thursday)
Wayfair’s CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) is developing a next-generation revenue management engine as a core strategic advantage - maximizing margin across a highly complex ocean and drayage network. As the Revenue Optimization Senior Manager, you will own the development of our order allocation strategy and lead the team that builds the data and tooling foundations behind it. With hundreds of suppliers, carriers, and port pairings, identifying the optimum configuration requires advanced optimization capabilities. Employing best practices from the airline and hotel industries, this role combines revenue management with analytics leadership. You will shape how we allocate orders, partner with data scientists and engineers to industrialize the engine, and align senior leaders across Commercial, Procurement, Planning, and Operations around a coherent, margin-optimizing playbook.

- Act as the central orchestrator across Procurement, Ops, Commercial, and Tech to embed allocation recommendations into workflows, establish governance processes, and partner with Finance to measure realized margin and ROI.

- Build performance reporting frameworks to frame trade-offs and support executive decision-making.
- Interrogate model behavior alongside technical teams to translate detailed outputs and scenario analyses into simple, executive-ready narratives.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (MBA or quantitative MS preferred).
- Significant experience in a revenue optimization, yield management, or top-tier management consulting role (e.g., airline pricing, hospitality revenue management, freight-forwarding pricing).
- Demonstrated experience working closely with data scientists or quantitative teams on optimization or pricing problems- comfortable reviewing logic and interpreting model outputs.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and cross-functional influencing skills; ability to move seamlessly between complex model mechanics and high-level executive summaries.
- Proven track record of leading small teams, setting technical direction, and managing change in a fast-paced environment.
- Ocean or logistics industry experience is beneficial, but not essential.
