Associate Director, Product Manager (Physical Retail and Sales)

Wayfair
Boston, MA Full Time
POSTED ON 6/3/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 7/2/2026
Who We Are

Wayfair is building the next generation of physical retail experiences to complement our industry‑leading e‑commerce business. Our Supply Chain & Retail Tech organization powers everything from store inventory and replenishment to omnichannel customer journeys, tying together our logistics network, store operations, and digital products.

You will join the team responsible for the physical retail store experience – from how associates sell and service customers, to how our omnichannel store experiences connect with Wayfair.com and delivery services. You’ll partner closely with Retail Operations, B2B Operations, Store GMs, Service, Supply Chain, and Storefront Tech to turn our stores into a strategic growth and brand engine.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the product strategy for physical retail and Sales Tech
  • Define and continuously refine the vision, strategy, and multi‑cycle roadmap for Wayfair’s physical retail experience and Sales Tech across stores, channels, and touchpoints.
  • Translate ambiguous, cross‑functional business goals (brand, sales, margin, NPS) into clear problem spaces, outcomes, and a sequenced roadmap.
  • Lead end‑to‑end store experience products
  • Own core journeys such as browsing and purchase in store, omnichannel selling (e.g., endless aisle, design service), service & post‑purchase support, and associate tooling.
  • Ensure store experiences work as a system with Wayfair.com, our apps, Nexus/DCs, and WD delivery.
  • Connect digital, supply chain, and in‑store operations
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Inventory, and Delivery teams to ensure the store experience is grounded in physical realities (replenishment, capacity, labor, delivery SLAs).
  • Define how data, signals, and tools flow between planning, fulfillment, and the store to create reliable experiences for customers and associates.
  • Build for measurable business and customer impact
  • Define and instrument success metrics (e.g., store conversion, attachment, NCO / margin, NPS, operational productivity).
  • Run structured experiments, pilots, and phased rollouts; use data and qualitative insights to iterate quickly.
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration at scale
  • Act as the single‑threaded owner across Retail Ops, Store GMs, Design, Engineering, Analytics, Service, and Finance for your problem spaces.
  • Drive alignment on priorities and trade‑offs, and communicate progress and outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Shape the future of the physical retail product portfolio
  • Own 12–18 month platform strategy across multiple product areas (e.g., store inventory & replenishment, associate tooling, omnichannel flows) and help shape org design, ways of working, and investment decisions across the retail portfolio.
  • Mentor other PMs working on adjacent parts of the store and omnichannel ecosystem.

We’re a Match Because You

  • Bring strong product management fundamentals
  • 8–10 years of product management experience, with proven success leading multi‑team or platform‑scale initiatives.
  • Have built products at the intersection of digital and physical
  • Experience in retail, stores, logistics, or other operationally intensive domains, where physical constraints matter as much as the UI.
  • Comfortable walking stores, shadowing associates, and translating operational realities into product decisions.
  • Are outcome‑ and systems‑oriented
  • You think in terms of flows, systems, and trade‑offs, not just features.
  • You can model how changes in store experience affect supply chain, service, and financial performance – and you use that to prioritize.
  • Excel at data‑driven decision making
  • Confident using self‑serve analytics and experimentation to size opportunities, set targets, and measure impact.
  • You balance quantitative signals with user research, store visits, and qualitative feedback.
  • Communicate and influence at multiple levels
  • You can go deep with engineers and designers, and also tell a crisp, outcomes‑focused story to VPs and store leaders.
  • You’re comfortable driving alignment across many stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Are excited to work in an evolving, high‑ambiguity space
  • You enjoy building in 0→1 and 1→n environments where products, processes, and even org structures are still being shaped.
  • You bring a builder’s mindset and a bias toward shipping, learning, and iterating.
  • Nice to have (not required)
  • Experience with omnichannel retail, store technology, or large‑parcel / scheduled delivery.
  • Prior work in highly cross‑functional environments tying together Product, Ops, and Finance.

Why You’ll Love Wayfair

  • Opportunity to shape the future of Wayfair’s physical retail strategy in a highly visible role.
  • A culture that values ownership, data‑driven decision making, experimentation, and learning.
  • Competitive compensation, equity, and comprehensive benefits (health, retirement, and time‑off).

Hybrid work with meaningful in‑store and in‑office collaboration alongside experienced operators, technologists, and designers.
