Slate Technical Account Manager


Waybetter Marketing is a higher ed–focused marketing agency based in Columbia, Maryland. We’re looking for a Slate-savvy technical account manager with 3–5 years of CRM/marketing automation experience within commuting distance. This hybrid role blends client-facing account management with hands-on Slate architecture, campaign deployment, and CRM optimization.

What You’ll Do:

As a Slate Technical Account Manager, you'll work with Technolutions’ Slate—a leading CRM platform widely used across higher education. You'll help institutions optimize their CRM systems to effectively recruit and enroll students. Your role will involve:


  • CRM Mastery: Utilizing marketing automation tools to launch campaigns and drive success.
  • Client Adaptability: Fluidly transition between different client needs, communication styles, and tasks throughout the day.
  • Content Creation: Crafting concise, compelling content tailored to each channel.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring every email, website, SMS, and campaign is flawless before it reaches the audience.
  • Strategic Analysis: Continuously improving results through data-driven insights, proactive problem-solving, and strategic adjustments.
  • Data & Systems Strategy: Configure and optimize data infrastructure, integrations, and automation logic to support recruitment and operational workflows.



This Role is Right for You if:

  • You have 3–5 years using a CRM or marketing automation tool (Slate strongly preferred).
  • You’re competitive and driven by results.
  • You’re both technically strong and client-confident—equally comfortable building a portal as you are explaining why it matters.
  • You thrive under deadlines and maintain accuracy even while switching quickly between tasks and clients.
  • You’re highly detail-oriented and committed to flawless execution.
  • You learn new tools quickly and stay competitive, curious, and results-driven.
