Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial mechanical construction projects.
- Assist with project plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate with BIM/Design, Construction, Estimating, and Operations teams to support project goals.
- Communicate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and client/owner representatives.
- Assist with tracking project schedules, budgets, materials, and project progress.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify potential issues and assist with solutions.
- Help coordinate material procurement and delivery to support project schedules.
- Assist with resolving technical, logistical, and project-related issues as they arise.
- Learn and apply mechanical construction processes, including HVAC, plumbing, and other MEP systems.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and follow company procedures and standards.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of construction, engineering, internship, or related experience preferred.
- Internship or co-op experience with a general contractor or mechanical subcontractor is a plus.
- Strong interest in commercial mechanical construction and project management.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with construction or project management software is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders.
