Job Title: Site Packaging/Assembly
GENERAL OVERVIEW
We are seeking a hardworking, energetic, quality, and safety-minded individual to join our team in the Finishing Department as a Site Packaging/Assembly Operator. The ideal candidate will work well both independently and collaboratively, with little to no supervision. This role requires the ability to read and understand production paperwork such as schedules and quality documentation, ability to read and understand prints/drawings, operate measuring tools and hand tools, and be mechanically inclined to set up and operate packaging machinery and related equipment.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Site Packaging/Assembly Operator is responsible for packaging finished products and transporting them to the warehouse for storage. This position includes assembling logos, wooden tops, lights, etc on designated product. The operator plays a key role in maintaining quality standards and supporting overall production efficiency.
SPECIFIC TASKS
- Packaging: Operate forklifts and job cranes to transport product to prepare for packaging. Band, wrap, label, and document each pallet accurately, ensuring proper tracking and identification. Enter production data into the computer system for accurate record-keeping.
- Assembly: Operate forklifts and job cranes to transport product to prepare for assembly. Install logos, wooden tops, lights, etc on designated site furnishing or precast product.
- Transport: Operate a forklift to move finished pallets to designated warehouse storage locations. Ensure proper handling and placement of all products to prevent damage or misplacement.
TOOLS / EQUIPMENT USED
- Hand Tools: Tape machines, box cutters, banding tools.
- Power Equipment: Electric floor forklift, palletizer, computer systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting.
- Ability to adjust, lift, and move objects up to 50 lbs in all directions.
- Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, shoulders, knees, back, and neck.
- Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, and work platforms.
- Frequent computer use for logging and tracking production data.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Forklift Operation: Experience operating forklifts and job cranes preferred; training will be provided.
- Mechanical Skills: Ability to operate and perform basic maintenance on packaging equipment and tools.
- Attention to Detail: Must accurately label, document, and track production data.
- Team Player: Capable of working independently and as part of a team, following supervisor direction and supporting department goals.
