What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator Assistant- Converting Dept (rotating 1st/2nd shift) position at Wausau Coated Products?
Newly hired employees within the Converting Department enjoy many opportunities for growth, benefits, and pay increases. Newly hired team members start out as an Operator Assistant. From there, employees have the opportunity to move up the progression into a Senior Operator level team member in 3 years or less. Senior Operators within the Converting Department make over $20 per hour and also have the opportunity for yearly performance bonuses!
General work duties for the Converting Operator Assistant include working safely to support team-operated press and converting machines. This includes picking and prepping raw materials, loading/unloading product on the machines, housekeeping, and assisting operators wherever necessary.
