Sheeter Operator positions available to EXPERIENCED candidates only:
Only candidates with a minimum of 2 consecutive years of experience operating a sheeter, rewinder, or production press will be considered.
Job Overview
The Advanced Operator is a skilled position responsible for independently operating and overseeing sheeters, rewinders, or coating presses within the Converting, Rewinding or Coating departments. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high quality production while meeting operational, safety, and quality standards. Advanced Operators play a key role in troubleshooting equipment issues, maintaining production flow, and supporting continuous improvement efforts while overseeing a crew up to 4 employees.
Specific Positions
Advanced Operators are assigned to a primary machine or process and may be cross trained on additional equipment. Candidates will receive offers for a specific role, such as:
- Sheeter Operator – Responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring sheeting equipment to produce finished paper products that meet quality and customer specifications.
- Rewinder Operator – Responsible for operating rewinding equipment, managing roll quality, tension, and dimensions, and ensuring efficient production flow.
- Coating Press Operator – Responsible for operating coating presses, monitoring coating application, machine settings, and product quality to ensure consistent and accurate results.
Advanced Operators are expected to perform equipment setup and changeovers, monitor production parameters, identify and resolve operational issues, and coordinate with Machine Assistant Operators to maintain safe and efficient operations.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding position that requires standing for extended periods, frequent bending, lifting, and moving materials. Operators must be able to work around moving machinery and may use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks to transport materials and finished goods safely and efficiently.
In addition, the Advanced Operator must be able to use measuring tools to verify product specifications, oversee crew performance, ensure crews are operating safely and meeting quality expectations. This role is ideal for experienced manufacturing professionals seeking to apply advanced machine operation skills and take ownership of production performance within a fast paced production environment.
