Stockroom Inventory Control A

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Stockroom Inventory Control professional to support plant operations through effective inventory control, purchasing coordination, and shipment planning. This role is responsible for helping maintain accurate stock levels, supporting timely material availability, and working closely with internal teams and vendors to keep operations running efficiently.

Position Summary

The Stockroom Inventory Control role supports stockroom and plant operations by ordering goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating shipments, and assisting with inventory-related problem solving. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable working across purchasing, planning, and stockroom functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Order goods and materials needed to maintain plant stock levels.
• Update purchase orders with revised delivery dates, pricing, and related information.
• Track missing, incorrect, or delayed parts and help resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with planners to ensure the correct parts and materials are stocked to support operations.
• Build and maintain positive vendor relationships through timely communication, follow-up, and coordination on purchase orders, parts, and delivery expectations.
• Review and follow up on past-due reports on a regular basis.
• Support and help lead monthly cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Work closely with stockroom leadership and purchasing staff to support daily operations and strategic purchasing projects.
• Arrange shipments through carriers such as UPS or LTL when needed.
• Assist on the stockroom floor during periods of staff absence or increased operational need.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Fork truck license is required, with the ability to safely drive into semi-trailers.

• Experience in inventory control, stockroom, warehouse, or purchasing support preferred.
• Strong maintenance background preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and recordkeeping skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams and with vendors.
• SAP and Excel experience is preferred, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced plant environment.
  

Work Environment and Additional Information

This position works closely with stockroom, planning, purchasing, and vendor partners to help ensure materials are available when needed, inventory records remain accurate, and supplier relationships are managed professionally. Candidates who are dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities will be well suited for this role.
