We have an immediate opening for an Environmental Technician in our Buffalo office. This position offers the potential for a variety of work experiences with an architecture and engineering consulting firm. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the project managers within the group and will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities And Duties
We have an immediate opening for an Environmental Technician in our Buffalo office. This position offers the potential for a variety of work experiences with an architecture and engineering consulting firm. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the project managers within the group and will be responsible for the following:
- Conduct oversight of various abatement/remediation project activities, and maintain daily records of project activities;
- Prepare project closeout reports;
- Conduct building inspections involving sample collection of suspect asbestos and PCB-containing materials, and lead based paint, as required by applicable regulations;
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, including sample location drawings, photographs, and laboratory data
- Be physically fit and capable of working on feet throughout the day, and carrying air sampling equipment (pumps, extension cords, etc.) through project sites, as necessary;
- Be comfortable working independently and unsupervised in non-traditional work environments, i.e. construction sites;
- Possess an outgoing personality, capable of interaction with clients, representatives from state regulatory agencies, construction contractors, and building occupants;
- Possess initiative to problem solve; and
- Be able available for short-duration overnight travel throughout New York State.
- 0-3 years’ experience;
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. CADD experience helpful but not required; and
- Asbestos, lead, mold and hazardous materials certifications helpful but not required.
- Between $33,000 - $42,000 depending on experience
Salary : $33,000 - $42,000
