Job Summary:
As a Furniture Delivery Specialist, you'll be the face of our company, responsible for safely and efficiently transporting furniture and making our customers' dreams come true by delivering and installing their cherished pieces.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Furniture Guardian: You'll be our furniture guardian, ensuring that every item is in perfect condition before it leaves our warehouse.
- Master Packer: Accurately load our delivery trucks, double-checking items against invoices to guarantee that nothing is left behind.
- Delightful Deliveries: Safely and courteously deliver and install furniture within agreed-upon time frames, bringing joy to our customers' homes.
- Route Maestro: Execute efficient delivery and pick-up routes, making the most out of your day.
- Records Keeper: Maintain basic records of truck mileage and deliveries while ensuring the safety of your vehicle.
- Vehicle Caretaker: Ensure that your delivery vehicle receives proper maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Warehouse Whiz: Assist with general warehouse duties once your delivery route is completed.
- Team Player: Pitch in wherever needed and perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to our overall success.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- On the Road Experience: A minimum of 1 year of related service industry driving/delivery experience (e.g., furniture or large appliances).
- Ability to safely drive Box-Truck
- Certified: DoT Certification is required.
- Clean and Safe: Maintain a clean MVR and drive safely.
- Navigation Pro: Skillfully use navigation tools like onboard GPS, smartphone apps, or good old-fashioned maps.
- Record-Keeper: Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
- Self-Starter: Execute tasks with minimal supervision, showing responsibility and initiative.
- Customer-Centric: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Age-Ready: Minimum age requirement: 21 years old.
Required Education, Training, and Experience:
- Driver's Essentials: Valid Class E driver's license and a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Strength: Must be able to frequently lift 75 pounds or more.
- Handling Goods: Load and unload items with and without dollies, no matter the weather.
- Physical Agility: Perform various physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping, and handling materials.
- Object Manipulator: Use your hands and arms to handle, install, position, and move materials skillfully.
