Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing environment.
- Oversee inventory control processes using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Coordinate warehouse distribution efforts, ensuring timely order fulfillment and adherence to shipping schedules.
- Implement process improvements utilizing lean management principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely for heavy lifting and materials handling tasks.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and manage shipping & receiving operations to meet customer expectations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor with strong leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and warehouse distribution processes.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), AS400 systems, and RF scanners for inventory tracking.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate forklifts or mechanical equipment confidently; forklift certification preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for materials handling.
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and process improvement initiatives.
