Position: Volleyball Assistant Coach (SY 26-27) (Stipend)

Reports to: Director of Athletics

Salary range: $3,203.00 – $3,783.00 stipend
Time Commitment:
- Six days a week.
- Fifteen to twenty hours a week.
- Three games a week.
- Season Length- 8/19/2026 – 11/20/2026
Number of positions: 2
This is a stipend position.
SUMMARY:
The Watertown Public Schools seeks an outstanding Volleyball assistant coach to coach the girls' volleyball team for the 2026-2027 school year. WPS is dedicated to excellence, equity, and community. Be a part of creating a bright future for WPS students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coach the team they are assigned to.
- Assume the duties of the head coach when the head coach is not present.
- Assist in coaching practices or games.
- Implement practice plans.
- Oversee scouting of opposition.
- Be a liaison between the captains and the head coach.
- Coordinate with the athletic office on the rosters, awards, and medical issues tasks.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- CPR Certified.
- NFHS concussion course complete.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School degree or equivalent.
- A degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Experience coaching volleyball
