Position: Assistant Boys Soccer Coach (SY 26-27) (Stipend)

Reports to: Director of Athletics

Salary range: $3,950 –$4,910 stipend
Time Commitment:
- Six days a week.
- Twenty to twenty-five hours a week.
- Three games a week.
- Season Length- 8/24/2026 – 11/23/2026
Number of Positions: 2

SUMMARY:
The Watertown Public Schools seeks an outstanding Assistant coach to coach the boys' soccer team for the 2025-2026 school year. WPS is dedicated to excellence, equity, and community. Be a part of creating a bright future for WPS students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coach the team they are assigned to.
- Assume the duties of the head coach when the head coach is not present.
- Assist in coaching at practice and games.
- Implement practice plans.
- Oversee scouting of opposition.
- Be a liaison between the captain and the head coach.
- Coordinate with the athletic office on rosters, awards, and medical issues.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- CPR certified
- NFHS concussion course completed
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience coaching soccer
- Strong communication and leadership skills
