Under the direction of the Supervisor 1 at Sacramento Headquarters, the Return to Work Coordinator will perform the following duties: Manage and coordinate the workers’ compensation claims process to ensure effective and efficient resolution of claims, including monitoring necessary and appropriate medical treatment of injured workers, and ensure benefits are provided in a timely manner. Provide consultation and technical support to field and headquarters staff regarding the workers’ compensation process, laws and rules. Prepare data trend analysis in Excel spreadsheet.
Coordinate the return-to-work program for injured (work-related and non-work-related) employees, including identifying and processing reasonable accommodation requests and modified/light duty assignments. Serve as technical expert on the administration of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Develop and deliver training to field and headquarters staff on a variety of programs, including workers’ compensation, return-to-work, reasonable accommodation and Americans with Disabilities Act.

This Position Is Classified As “Hybrid” And Is Currently Eligible For Full Time Telework Due To On-going Renovations At CCC Headquarters (HQ). However:
- You may be occasionally required to work from the CCC Sacramento Center location (570 Bercut Drive, Sacramento, CA) based on business need (printing, mailing, meetings, etc.).
- Once HQ renovations are complete, you will be notified and the in-office reporting location will revert to HQ (anticipated return is mid-May or later) and this position will revert to a “Hybrid” schedule of up to three days of telework per week, with a minimum of two days of in-office work.
- Effective July 1, 2026, there is a Statewide mandate that requires a work schedule of four days of in-office work per week for all “Hybrid” eligible positions.
