Position Description: Administrative Director
Work Location: Weekdays on-site; some Sunday mornings
Time: Full Time, Salary
Reports to: Executive Pastor
Overview
The Administrative Director will run the TLC main office and direct various department staff as they
execute events and programs. They will be a central point of contact for attendees, volunteer leaders and
teams, and the Waters Edge Network team. They are passionate about using their gifts and experience to
assist in the behind-the-scenes details of the church ministry, and constantly strive to communicate the gospel
with excellence through professional performance to keep ministry running smoothly and effectively.
Responsibilities
Office Director
Be the welcoming front door for TLC - Provide a timely response to email/voicemail inquiries and
coordinate with/through other staff as needed
Manage all office supplies, organization, and ordering for the church
Serve as direct staff contact for facilities staff and volunteers, maintenance vendors, and others as
needed. Oversee Facilities Coordinator position.
Assist staff in managing and organizing TLCs online file server
Administration
Oversee and direct budget areas for office and facilities
Record weekly tithes and offerings for giving credit
Maintain and direct operations systems throughout the church (determining what to use/how to use it)
Maintain updated attendee records (involvement with groups or volunteer teams, name changes, family
additions, and contact info)
Staff support:
o Work with Pastoral Staff as needed to set staff meetings, prayer meetings, etc. Coordinate
agendas, documents needed, next steps in appropriate meetings
o Assist all staff with setting up and streamlining database processes (forms, processes, groups,
automation)
o Provide concentrated administrative support for Formation and Missions programs.
Oversee TLC's I-9 paperwork in conjunction with Water's Edge HR department
Process check requests, reimbursements, and invoices for all TLC departments
Oversee pre-marital counseling and wedding request process
Update church attendance information weekly on Church Metrics app for Waters Edge
Coordinate any Family-related items with needed church staff from TLC and any church plants in our
church family
Event Management
Maintain the official church calendar for staff and space availability reference
Coordinate with the Comms Director where needed to effectively communicate about upcoming events,
ministries, etc.
Anticipate needs and capacity based on upcoming programs, meetings, events and initiatives
Assist with room setup, HVAC scheduling, volunteer entry to space, etc. as needed
Arrange for volunteers, food, and supplies for events as needed
After events, ensure that staff captures notes (SWOT), tracks expenses easily, and saves any necessary
photos or communication pieces in the Drive for future reference
Oversee, plan and provide food and meals for staff, Lead Team meetings, and elder retreats
Volunteer Team Coordination
Serve as staff contact for several volunteer teams such as Hospitality, Connect Center, Care, Count,
Special Events, and Building & Grounds. Identify, train and support volunteer co-leaders for select teams.
Direct oversight and direction of two serve teams - Building & Grounds and TLC Count Team (making
decisions for the direction of these teams, scheduling and management of volunteers)
Welcome new volunteers after sign-up and coordinate on-boarding as needed for multiple teams
Maintain (or oversee volunteer co-leaders in creating) volunteer schedule and communication for these
teams
Oversee volunteer training processes for these teams and look for ways to improve
Maintain organized and stocked areas for Sunday team use (kitchen, coffee bar, Connect Center). Order
or print supplies as needed.
Maintain accurate records in database of volunteer team involvement
Sunday Morning Support
Provide flexible on-site Sunday support for baptisms, special events (such as fall kick-off or serve fair),
volunteer team support, etc.
Set up and prepare for communion Sundays
Help coordinate Summer Sundays

Experience
Preferred education in administration, business, communications, finance or related field
Preferred experience of 4-5 years in a fast-paced office setting.
Salary : $43,000 - $48,000
