The Sales Representative is a critical role responsible for all aspects of customer interaction and business development. This role combines sales, customer service, and operational oversight to ensure customer satisfaction and the successful execution of projects. The Sales Representative acts as the primary liaison between customers and the business, and interfaces with assigned crews.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Interaction:
● Job Kickoff: Meet with customers and crews to initiate projects.
● Lead Response: Promptly respond to incoming leads, schedule estimates, and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.
● Estimates: Conduct accurate and detailed estimates to meet customer needs and close business opportunities.
● Closing Business: Present proposals to customers, address questions or concerns, and secure commitments.
● Pipeline Management: Follow up with leads, nurture relationships, and work the sales pipeline to maximize conversion rates.
● Final Walkthroughs: Conduct final walkthroughs with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
● Business Development: Build relationships locally with referral sources, conducting Waterloo Turf presentations working to secure future business and relationships.
Crew Coordination:
● Build and maintain effective communication with assigned crews.
● Kicking off jobs and providing necessary instructions and details to the crew.
● Conducting final walkthroughs with crews to confirm work quality and completion.
Qualifications and Skills● Must have 3 years of artificial grass sales experience.
● Must have experience working with residential/commercial clients along with referral partners.
● Must have working knowledge of the local turf and hardscape vendors.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
● Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
● Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
● Proficient in using CRM tools and basic software.
● Ability to build rapport with customers and crews to foster teamwork and trust.
● Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a focus on achieving results.
Work Environment● This is a 1099 100% commission role with the ability to make big money with zero caps.
● This role requires both field work and administrative time, including visits to customer sites and interaction with crews.
● A flexible schedule may be necessary to meet customer and business needs.
● Work from home. No need to come into an office every day.
