Role Description The Turf Installer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Charlotte, NC. This role involves preparing installation sites by clearing existing materials, grading surfaces, and ensuring proper drainage. Turf Installers will lay, cut, and secure artificial turf, apply infill, and perform finishing work to deliver clean, professional installations. Daily tasks include operating hand and power tools, loading and unloading materials, maintaining a safe and organized work area, and collaborating with team members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule. The role may also involve basic customer interaction on-site, answering questions about installation work, and assisting with maintenance or repair visits when needed.
Qualifications
- Experience with basic construction, landscaping, or groundskeeping tasks, including site preparation and use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work such as lifting heavy materials, kneeling, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and strong craftsmanship skills for measuring, cutting, and finishing turf to precise specifications.
- Reliable time management and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions, work safely, and support a project-focused crew.
- Basic math and measurement skills for accurate layout, edging, and infill application.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Charlotte, NC.
- Prior experience in artificial turf installation or related trades (e.g., concrete, pavers, landscape construction) is preferred but not required.
- Commitment to safety practices and willingness to learn company standards, installation techniques, and product knowledge.
