Responsibilities
- Stock shelves efficiently by receiving deliveries, organizing products, and maintaining accurate inventory levels
- Operate cash registers using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process sales transactions quickly and accurately
- Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos when applicable, and promote upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, handle cash drawer operations with precision, and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring products are properly labeled and stocked according to store standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers using excellent phone etiquette and clear verbal skills
- Assist in inventory counts, stock replenishment, and ensuring the store’s overall product knowledge is up-to-date for better customer assistance
Experience
- Previous retail experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments involving stocking and cashier duties
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings or during busy periods
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail math calculations, and cash register operations is highly desirable
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills combined with excellent phone etiquette will help foster positive customer interactions
