Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Stocker to join our retail team. Duties
- Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, processing customer transactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection.
- Maintain a well-organized and stocked sales floor by restocking shelves and ensuring products are displayed attractively.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and conducting stock checks.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
- Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support during shifts.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including phone etiquette when handling customer calls.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash management.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
