Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans.
- Handle patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing.
- Process medical collections and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding accounts.
- Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient information and office operations.
- Assist in coding procedures using ICD-9 standards for insurance claims.
- Support dental staff with administrative tasks as needed to enhance workflow.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or medical office management is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of customer service principles and patient service practices.
- Familiarity with medical records management and coding, specifically ICD-9.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
