About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated Family Advocate to connect with local and countywide health and social services, promote parent involvement in our program, and assist in developing family and community partnerships.
The successful candidate will provide ongoing guidance and tracking of overall progress, perform other related work as required, and maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for preschool children.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Assist with planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate learning experiences for preschool children.
2. Help children develop positive interpersonal relationships with peers and adults.
3. Assist with child observation and recording progress.
4. Supervise and interact with children during indoor/outdoor free flow activities.
5. Implement strategies to shape positive student behaviors.
6. Prepare instructional materials for use by small students.
7. Maintain accurate records and files, including confidential student information.
8. Operate equipment necessary to run the program efficiently.
9. Serve as a positive role model for children and colleagues alike.
10. Participate in staff meetings and in-service training sessions.
11. May assist with limited English language communication problems.
12. Administer routine first aid and request assistance for non-routine injuries or illnesses.
13. Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized learning environment.
14. Attend parent conferences and participate in student progress report activities.
15. Perform other related tasks as required.

Requirements and Qualifications Include:
- Certificate copy (A.A. or B.A. in Early Child Development)
- Copy of transcript
- Letter of introduction
- Letters of recommendation (Three letters)
- Proof of high school graduation
- Resume
- TB screening result (Post-offer employment testing)
