What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Reporting Analyst position at WaterBridge?
WaterBridge is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Finance & Accounting team. Reporting to the Director or Supervisor of Financial Reporting, you will play a central role in preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial reports (including 10Qs and 10Ks) for both internal and external stakeholders. You'll own key workbooks and models that underpin our reporting deliverables, contribute to technical accounting research, and help shape the company's positions on complex transactions. This is a high-visibility role where accuracy, transparency, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather financial data and disclosures for external reporting documents, including 10Q and 10K filings
- Produce monthly financial packages and manage the review and distribution process to relevant stakeholders
- Develop ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management
- Conduct technical accounting research; support the rollout of new accounting policies
- Monitor new accounting pronouncements and regulatory updates, assess their impact on financial reporting, and drive implementation of necessary changes
- Partner with internal audit teams and external auditors to facilitate audits and reviews of financial statements
- Identify and champion process improvements across the team and broader accounting function
Qualifications and Requirement
- Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Accounting
- 2 years of public accounting experience
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with SEC regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and time management.
- Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Able to manage competing priorities and pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Active CPA certification is preferred.
- Big Four public accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with SEC reporting is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounting and financial reporting tools such as Workday, DFIN or OneStream preferred
