Waterbird Home Solutions is a multi-state, family-owned home services company with nearly 50 years of experience. We provide water purification, plumbing, HVAC, and healthy home solutions across multiple markets and are entering an exciting phase of growth.
We are seeking a Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations and help scale the business with strong financial structure and insight.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
- Coordinate with external CPA firms for tax filings and audits
- Provide financial analysis and insights to leadership
- Support growth initiatives, acquisitions, and new locations
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- CPA or CMA preferred
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Home services experience preferred
- Previous Controller or Assistant Controller experience preferred
- Experience in multi-location or service-based businesses strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of financial reporting
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with leadership
