Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks with precision and care
- Operate POS systems such as Toast POS and Spot on POS to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions, perform cashiering duties, and manage cash handling with integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and customer spaces
- Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and serving food items in accordance with health regulations
- Manage time effectively to handle high-volume periods while maintaining quality service standards
Qualifications
- Prior barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in food service or café environments is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed
