Wastewater Project Engineer
📍 Concord, North Carolina (Onsite)
Are you a civil engineer with a passion for water and wastewater infrastructure—and looking for a role where you can take ownership of impactful, community-driven projects?
We’re partnering with a respected public utility organization (WSACC) seeking a Wastewater Project Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful capital improvements while collaborating with local governments, regulatory agencies, and a strong internal team.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the planning, design, and construction of water distribution and wastewater treatment/collection projects
- Manage capital improvement projects from concept through completion
- Coordinate with municipalities, consultants, and regulatory agencies
- Review engineering plans, develop specifications, and support construction administration
- Prepare cost estimates, bid documents, and technical reports
- Provide guidance and oversight to team members and project contributors
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- Experience in water/wastewater engineering, including design, plan review, and construction administration
- Strong understanding of utility infrastructure and applicable regulations
- Ability to manage projects independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Experience with Flow Acceptance Systems is a plus
Credentials:
- EI (Engineering Intern) required or ability to obtain within 6 months
- PE license preferred
- Valid NC driver’s license
