Dewberry has an excellent career opportunity available for a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer in our Charlotte, NC office to join our growing Water Group with a focus on m unicipal or industrial t reatment design . The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting our team on water and wastewater design projects for clients . The successful candidate will collaborate and work within multi-disciplined teams for the engineering and design of water and wastewater pump stations, pipelines, storage tanks, and treatment facilities. Responsibilities

• Coordinating a multi-disciplined project design team.
• Managing project scope and budget.
• Preparation of engineering reports.
• Pump station design, inflow and infiltration studies, hydraulic modeling, collection system condition assessment and design, water distribution and storage, with potential opportunities to engage on treatment projects.
• Developing opinions of probable project cost.
• Providing construction phase engineering services
  
  

Required Skills & Required Experience

• B.S. Degree in Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
• M.S. degree a plus
• 3 years of experience with progressive responsibilities for public sector water and wastewater projects.
• North Carolina PE preferred, or the ability to obtain within one year of employment
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft office is required.
• Familiar with Modeling and GIS software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
• Water/Wastewater infrastructure experience is a plus.
