What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. High Ministry Leader position at WATER OF LIFE COMMUNITY CHURCH?
Assist in the areas of student counseling, series programing, with a primary focus on development of Sunday morning services, Wednesday night groups & events; serve as a liaison between students and parents, as needed; assist with campus ministries at local high schools by being available to participate and lead as opportunities become available; Participate in planning of/execution of staff and volunteer events/gatherings; Assist in coordinating with the HSM team to schedule events, and to strategically transition students into HSM; evaluate the health and success of the ministry and deliver feedback to supervisor; primary person responsible for monitoring and overseeing ministry budget; use benchmarks and feedback to identify and implement opportunities for ministry growth; collaborate with other ministry teams when appropriate; complete participation in NXTGEN events or initiatives
Recruit, train, place and impart vision and direction to volunteers, which includes planning/structuring of leader dinners & development, direct oversight of leaders care and calendaring specific leader trainings, along with placement and assimilation of new volunteer leaders; development of small group leaders; assist in establishing an annual calendar of series, events, and mission trips for JHM; coordinate all aspects of the annual calendar working closely with the Sr. Ministry Leader; Communicate and promote an understanding of the philosophy of ministry and core values of Water of Life Community Church
Qualifications:• AA in Biblical Studies or equivalent
• 1 years’ vocational ministry experience
• 2 years’ ministry experience in an active lay leadership role
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Intermedia knowledge in office technology tools (web-based, Facebook, Instagram, MS Office)
• Ability to recruit, lead, train and supervise volunteers
• Aspire to be a Christian role model in accordance with 1 Timothy, chapter 3
• Maintain a consistent relationship with God, demonstrate a strong and growing walk with Christ, and live a Biblical lifestyle that honors Christ
• Be personally committed to the ideals, values and mission of WOL
• Participate in a WOL small group and be a regular tither to WOL
• Ability to appropriately handle confidential information; refraining from gossip
• Ability to resolve issues according to Matthew 18
• Be/become a Member at WOL and regularly attend its weekend services
• Satisfactory background check
