The Fleet Mechanic reports directly to the Fleet Supervisor and is responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of a diverse fleet of company vehicles ranging from light-duty pickups and service trucks to medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks, including semi tractors.

The Fleet Mechanic reports directly to the Fleet Supervisor and is responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of a diverse fleet of company vehicles ranging from light-duty pickups and service trucks to medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks, including semi tractors.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain company fleet vehicles, including: Light-duty pickups, service trucks, medium-duty trucks, heavy-duty trucks and semi tractors
- Diagnose and repair: diesel and gasoline engines, automatic and manual transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brake systems, suspension and steering components, HVAC systems, electrical and charging systems, brake systems
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled services
- Utilize diagnostic software, scan tools, and manufacturer service information to identify and repair vehicle issues
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
- Maintain accurate service records, including inspections performed, repairs completed and parts used
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Assist with roadside service calls and emergency repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other duties as assigned.
Required:
- 3-5 years of diesel mechanic experience
- Ability to work with minimal to no supervision
- Must provide and maintain personal hand tools required for the position
- Driver's License is required
- Required to successfully complete all required safety training
- Able to become A/C certified if requested
- Experience working with Power Stroke, Duramax and Cummins engines
- Hydraulic system diagnosis and repair experience
- Welding and fabrication experience
- CDL or Ability to obtain one
