Sanipac, a Waste Connections site inEugene, ORhas an immediate position open for aDiesel Mechanic/Journeymanto performpreventative maintenanceon our fleet of 125 garbage trucks.

Full-Time:Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00am -1:30PM with occasional OT.

.

Competitive Compensation:

Starting Pay: $30.85-$33.67 per hour DOE.

Responsibilities include:

• Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Conductssafety checkson vehicles and equipment.
• Completes required paperwork utilizingfleet maintenance softwareprogram associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified onDriver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Performs maintenance related work as required.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:

• ValidDriver's Licensewith aclean driving record(Required)
• 2 year experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair or completion of a diesel tech program
• Class B CDLORthe ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
• Provide personal tools.
• Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.
• Ability to read and comprehend service and technical informationinEnglish.
