We are looking for a Mechanic III for the Day shift to perform maintenance and diagnostics on fleet vehicles associated with fuel and lubrication delivery. Strong experience with after treatment systems, major components, and electrical systems are needed. This position requires Knowledge of all vehicle systems, and computer programs that diagnose these systems if applicable. Experience with Fuel delivery vehicles is a plus.

*Essential Functions*
- Routine vehicle preventative maintenance inspections.
- Repair or replace malfunctioning components.
- Extensive engine experience on Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and Paccar MX.
- Knowledge of Cummins insite, Diagnotic link, and Paccar Davies needed.
- Use of basic hand tools, and power tools. Knowledge of Welding equipment and its use is plus as well.
- Perform a variety of routine maintenance such as A service, B service, and FHWA yearly inspections.
- On-call phone rotation for breakdowns.
- Experience in petroleum tanker plumbing and their systems is a plus.
- Aluminum welding experience is a plus.
- Complete all applicable company training programs.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Two years of Heavy Diesel repair is needed.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification preferred.
- Experience working with heavy transportation vehicles.
- Broad knowledge of the industry’s best safety practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team orientation.
- Computer literate with experience Microsoft Office email and hours of service management systems.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and standard practices of heavy equipment mechanical work.
- Considerable knowledge of the operating and maintenance requirements of various types of heavy equipment.
- Some knowledge of the occupational hazards of the mechanical trades and of necessary safety precautions.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to locate and diagnose defects in diesel and gas-powered equipment.
- Skill in use of tools and equipment and their care in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment.
- Requires valid driver's license and clean driving record, Class A with Tanker endorsement preferred.
- Employer will conduct a background check, drug screen, and driving record check.
