Recycling Works is looking for an Scale Attendant/Billing Clerk to join the team at our recycling facility in Kokomo, Indiana. Previous waste experience would be a huge plus!

- Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the landfill.
- Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.
- Calculate payments for customers.
- Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.
- Approach all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Process sales orders from our proprietary ARES software system into our operating system for new starts, cancellations, service changes and pricing changes.
- Calculate credit/debit adjustments as needed for pro ration credits/debits.
- Process billings for all lines of business.
- Run error checking reports and work with districts to ensure data integrity.
- Bill customers using third party portals when necessary.
- Ensure that statements are sent in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy to minimize calls to district customer service.
- Work with other departments to ensure correct billing.
- Other job related duties as assigned
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Must have flexible availability to include weekends
