Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the landfill RNG plant, including gas collection, compression, and upgrading systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, state solid waste agencies, air quality permits).
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for plant equipment.
- Monitor gas flow, quality, and emissions to meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports, notifications, and stakeholder communications.
- Lead and develop plant and wellfield staff, contractors, and vendors.
- Coordinate with engineering and environmental teams on system upgrades and expansions.
- Manage budgets, procurement, and operational cost controls.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, utility partners, and community stakeholders.
- 7 years of experience in landfill gas, renewable energy, or industrial plant operations.
- Strong knowledge of landfill gas collection systems, RNG upgrading technologies, and environmental compliance.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, emissions monitoring, and safety protocols.
