E.L. Harvey & Sonshas an immediate position open for aSeniorHeavy EquipmentMechanicinWestborough, MAto work on our fleet of equipment.
Schedule:Monday - Friday 6am to 4:30pm / Saturday's as needed
Pay Rate:$35.00 to $40.00 per hour
As a mechanic with us the minimum responsibilities are:
- Perform repairs and assignedpreventative maintenanceservices. Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of powertrain, electrical andhydraulic systemsonheavy equipment, such as excavators, wheel loaders, forklifts, man-lifts, etc. Perform power washing onheavy equipmentduring routinepreventative maintenance.
- Travel to other local sites to performpreventative maintenanceand repairs as needed.
- Complete requiredpaperworkutilizingequipment maintenancesoftwareprogram associated with repairing equipment, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Reviews and completes, repairs identified on Daily Inspection Reports.
- Conductssafetycheckson vehicles and equipment.
- Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns that may take place in the transfer station.
- Assist as needed in preventive maintenance of buildings, bailers, conveyors and support equipment including manlifts, compressors and yard trucks.
- Ordering of parts for repairs.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment incompliancewith corporate andOSHAstandards.
- Participate in equipment operator training on best practices on maintenance and proper use of equipment.
What we need from you:
- Valid Driver's LicensewithClean Driving Record
- Trustworthy and possess a high-degree ofintegrity*
- Self-directed and comfortable working alone
- Accustomed to changes in priorities and responding professionally to urgent matters
- 3-5 years' experience working withheavy equipment
- Must provide own personal tools and tool box.
- Welding/fabricationexperience is a huge plus!
