Heavy Equipment Operator
Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscienceHeavy Equipment Operatorto join our GROWING team at our J Bar J Landfill in Ogallala, Nebraska.
PAY:$23-$24 per hour
- Every hour after 40 is paid overtime.
SCHEDULE:
Monday- Friday 7am-4pm and every other Saturday 7am-12pm.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Spreading and compacting trash using a compactor
*Spreading daily cover using a Dozer
*Maintaining haul roads using a grader
*Work in a fast paced, team environment
*Follow safe operating practices
*Learn and use interpersonal skills relating to goodcustomer service
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
*Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds.
*The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
*Valid drivers license.
*Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
*2 years of experiencepreferred.
