SKB Environmental, a Waste Connections company, is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our GROWING team in Rosemount, MN.
Pay: $41-$50 per hour Depending on Experience!

Hours are typically 6:30 AM – 3 PM, Monday thru Friday; Some opportunity for overtime

- Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services.
- Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension brake and air systems on heavy equipment.
- Utilize vehicle computer electro systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
- Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing heavy equipment, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Conducts safety checks on equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
- Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds.
- Work environment will require the ability to work in the field for all outdoor weather conditions.
- Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience, that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above (preferred); Entry Level Graduate considered.
- Welding / Fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of Hydraulic repairs.
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- Well organized.
- Must provide own personal tools.
