What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Driver position at Waste Connections?

We are seeking a safety conscious CDL Driver to join our team in Alexandria, LA. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a garbage truck on residential and/or commercial routes. The position is physically demanding and the requires the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturdays
Start time: Between 3:30 AM - 5:00 AM
Workweek: 45-55 hours
Typical workday: 10-11 hours

Compensation

Starting pay: $20/hr.
Comprehensive benefits package including family benefits, 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar match, vacation, and year-round overtime

Requirements

Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License
1 year of CDL driving experience
Strong customer service skills
