Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Leads the creative development of print and digital collateral that supports programs across the school and manages creative services to implementation.
Designs digital and print materials, including recruitment collateral, an annual publication, social media and web graphics, emails, invitations, event programs, and posters.
Under the guidance of the director of communications, maintains university brand standards across programs while advancing the school’s visual identity.
Actively participates in the development and execution of strategy and tactics for new initiatives.
Manages administrative tasks for select projects, including requesting estimates from vendors, circulating materials for review and manages feedback, and proofing.
Serves as the design liaison when working with university partners and outside vendors on projects.
Uses design principles across digital and print platforms.
Balances the desire for innovative new communications while maintaining brand consistency.
Communicates clearly with various stakeholders and responds to and provides constructive feedback.
Meets production schedules.
Provides art direction for projects designed by design services partners, including ensuring that the university’s brand standards are adhered to.
Facilitates the feedback and critique process, circulating materials for review among internal stakeholders and provides constructive feedback to design services partners.
Proofs materials and attends press checks.
Engages with design peers at the university, including participating in MarComm Council.
Oversees the coordination of photography and video shoots.
Schedules vendors to handle photography and video projects and provides art direction.
Archives photos and videos, edits and distributes files with partners as needed for projects.
Serves as primary liaison to multimedia team in University Marketing & Communications regarding photo and video assets.
Provides creative support for the school’s websites.
Edits and updates images and graphics on the websites.
Develops digital collateral for use on the website, including infographics.
Designs page templates and implements design updates as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
