What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Principal for Athletics and Student Activities, grades 6-12 (PRA-0005) position at Washington Township School District?
REQUIRED CRITERIA:
- NJ Principal Certification
- Leadership experience as an Athletic Director or other administrative position
- Minimum of five (5) years successful teaching experience at the secondary level
- Extensive experience as a varsity head coach or coach in multiple sports at the high school or college level desirable
- Knowledge of NJ Student Learning Standards
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, supervision, and evaluation
- Knowledge of state athletic association rules and compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, long-range planning, and management skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
PREFERRED CRITERIA:
- Experience with student attendance and/or discipline
- Experience with extracurricular programming including fundraising to support school programs
- Demonstrated understanding of budget management and operational planning.
