DSHS HCLA DDCS Quality Assurance Program Manager

We are seeking our next QA Program Manager to join the Region 1 South Development Disabilities Community Services (DDCS) team!

In collaboration with the Regional Administration and Statewide Office of Quality Assurance and Compliance this role has regional responsibility of collaborating with the Statewide Quality Assurance Program Manager and the Transitional Care Management Program Manager to develop standardized quality assurance metrics for transitional supports and to provide regional direction of evaluating the regional transition process implementations, case manager transitions and stability of clients supports through the transition year.

In this role, you will develop, implement and monitor regional programs that include the overall direction and strategic planning of quality assurance, incident management and investigations, training and other quality improvement programs.

To be successful, you will need strong collaboration, attention to detail, and time management skills. You will supervise three full time staff who will thrive off of your coaching and mentorship ability.

Some Of What You’ll Do

Quality Assurance Program Activities –

  • Manage the Quality Assurance Program throughout counties in Region 1 South
  • Recruit, hire, train, assign work, monitor, and conduct effective performance appraisals of subordinate staff
  • Implement Transition Surveys for all clients on RCL and Transition Case Manager caseloads
  • Meet with clients, families and providers to review successes, challenges and barriers apparent during transition planning and implementation
  • Manage the Incident Reporting System for the region, including 100% review of incident reports, acting as prime liaison with DDCS headquarters (HQ), quality assurance oversight, monitoring and follow up actions needed

Communication and Collaboration –

  • Coordinate and collaborate with HQ program Managers and Quality assurance employees to develop specific Statewide WA metrics regarding transitions
  • Understand and interpret the DSHS DDCS mission, program policies and procedures, WAC and other regulations to staff, clients, families, service providers, and other interested groups
  • Respond to emergencies, projects, extraordinary incidents or work tasks that require employee response
  • Represent DDCS and participate in agency meetings as required, demonstrating cooperative and professional communication skills

Regional Tribal Liaison, Technical Assistance and Consultation –

  • Act as regional Tribal Liaison and manage the 7.01 plan for the southern portion of the region
  • Collaborate with the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) regarding guardianship issues
  • Provide consultation to the region regarding client specific quality assurance issues
  • Act as regional liaison for data breaches and follow up actions required by staff and providers

Who should apply?

  • Professional with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, social or human services, behavior sciences or an allied field and five years of experience providing social services to people with developmental disabilities
  • Graduate training in social science, social or human services, human services, behavioral sciences or an allied field will substitute for one year of experience providing social services to people with developmental disabilities or additional experience maybe be substituted year for year in lieu of degree
  • The preferred applicant will have experience in developing and maintaining a quality assurance system in a social service program
