Description

Here is your opportunity to make an impact on the success of the Finance, Technology, and Analytics Administration (FTAA), Division of Information Technology, a part of the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) that supports the Economic Services Administration . Our division offers services such as technical support, system analysis, and application maintenance.

As an organization, we are responsible for supporting designated agency mission-critical applications and serving over 6,000 users in multiple administrations and divisions within the Department of Social and Health Services, as well as users in other state and federal agencies.

We're looking to hire for two project positions for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Rules Migration project, as well as a non-permanent assignment outside of that project.

Funding for the project positions is expected to last until June 30, 2027. The non-permanent assignment is also anticipated to last until June 30, 2027.

Some Of What You’ll Do

  • Provide oversight of mission-critical automated systems and essential applications, ensuring smooth operation, stability, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and support the application environment, deliver guidance on interface updates, and provide user technical support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, data, and network issues, including error log analysis, data correction, and ensuring accurate information flow across systems.
  • Monitor system performance and data integrity, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to optimize operations.
  • Test and support system interfaces, including integrations between ACES and Healthplanfinder.
  • Address and resolve failed Washington Connection application submissions.
  • Develop and run SQL queries to generate and manage report inventories.

We're looking for those with

  • A bachelor’s degree in public policy, public health, public administration, or other health and social science-related field. Additional DSHS experience in interpreting and understanding policies and regulations can substitute year-for-year for the above education.

Or

  • Four years of information technology experience, such as consulting, analyzing application problems, designing, programming, installing, and/or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment; directing projects; providing customer support or technical support in information technology; or administering or supervising staff who performed work in any of these information technology disciplines.

And

  • The above technical experience with at least two out of the last four years of public assistance case eligibility processing experience using ACES/ACES 3G and Barcode to determine and maintain eligibility for public assistance programs.

Preferred

  • One year of experience working in and navigating through the various application programs within eJAS.
  • One year of experience and the ability to navigate through the various application programs within the Washington Connection Benefit Portal.
  • Knowledge of system availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency of ACES, Barcode, Washington Connection, MyWABenefits, Document Upload, and eJAS applications.
