Position Summary
The role of Administrative Assistant in Volunteer Services reports directly to the Volunteer Services Manager. This position is responsible for managing administrative tasks, providing customer service, and ensuring the processing and completion of clerical duties.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Perform various administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, managing emails, and assisting with office duties.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, greeting them warmly and assisting with inquiries
- Assist in keeping the office clean and organized and monitor office supplies and resources.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and gift shop inventory.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with all team members, patients, and guests.
- Assist with other office assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Licensure and Certifications: N/A
- Experience: Previous experience in a clerical role or medical office environment, preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with call forwarding systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively. Strong ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain attention to detail.
Work Environment: This position will spend 30% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 70% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
