Pay: From $60,000.00 per yearThe Payroll Coordinator/Accounts Payable Specialist performs high quality and detailed data entry and other support services relating to payroll and assisting with accounts payable functions for the Company. This role ensures timely processing of payroll, invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliation of various general ledger accounts, and supporting the period close process. This position works with various departments to address payroll and accounts payable discrepancies and improve processes in accordance with company standards.ResponsibilitiesPayroll processing for multi-state payroll for multiple entities.Daily review and reconciliation of timecards for hourly associates.Tracking and maintenance of associate probationary periods, rate increases, union eligibility, etc.Monitoring associate vacation hours and attendance.Calculation of monthly pension contributions and union dues for applicable associates.Preparation of payroll and payroll tax journal entries.Preparation and analysis of payroll reports for distribution to department managers.Responsible for the administration of the Company's gain sharing program.Assures and maintains confidentiality and completeness of payroll files and data including their security.Coding and posting of accounts payable invoices.Processing of vendor payments.Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts.Researching and correcting account discrepancies.Supporting month-end and year-end close.Assisting with internal controls (SOX).RequirementsAssociate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration3 to 5 years experience in payroll and/or AccountingKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proficient in Microsoft office suite - primarily ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail and accuracyUnderstanding and adherence to general accounting principlesGood organizational skillsEffective time management skillsSelf-motivated with a positive attitudeAbility to work with others or independentlyAbility to adapt to changeAbility to exercise discretionFull Time, Monday-Friday, 8 am – 5 pmSalary commensurate with knowledge/experienceBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceEducation:Associate (Preferred)Experience:Payroll: 3 years (Preferred)Accounts payable: 3 years (Preferred)Ability to Commute:Washington, PA 15301 (Required)Work Location: In person
