Job Description for WMC Cabin Shop Cafe Associate
We are seeking a dedicated retail associate to join our team at Washington Memorial Chapel's Cabin Shope Cafe in the heart of Valley Forge National Historical Park. As a Cabin Shop Café associate, you will be the first point of contact for our guests to the Chapel, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping and dining experience.
The Cabin Shop Cafe Associate is a member of the Washington Memorial Chapel team and a unique environment embedded in American History and the Episcopal Church where his or her leadership skills make a significant impact on the carrying out of our mission.
Duties
- Our first priority is our guests. So the top duty is to make sure every guest leaves the Cabin Shop with a positive perceived experience of being at Washington Memorial Chapel. Doing your very best towards this goal is paramount.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our Square for Retail P.O.S.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and retail & dining space for our guests.
- Maintains an approachable, positive and upbeat energy.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products or services.
- Assist with stocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
- Promote special sales and offers to customers
- Operate cash registers, scanners, and other electronic equipment
- Prep basic food items sold daily in the Cabin Shop Cafe.
Experience and Skills:
- Customer Service soft skills are a MUST.
- Strong ability to sell products and services (and answer customer inquiries about products and services).
- Experience in Square Retail is a plus
- Proficiency in time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Upselling skills to increase sales revenue is a plus.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
