What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst Intern position at Washington Fruit Growers?
Description
Washington Fruit & Produce Co. is one of the largest tree fruit growers, packers, and shippers in the Pacific Northwest. We grow, pack and sell cherries, apples, and pears in one of the most productive agricultural regions in the world.
We’re building a data team focused on turning the mountains of data that we sit on top of into real time actionable insights to make better decisions. —To do this we are automating our reporting and using machine learning where it actually matters. This internship puts you in the middle of that work. You’ll report directly to our CFO and Data Scientist, work with real systems, and own projects that ship to production.
This role is built around our peak summer season, when the pace is fast and providing data to make accurate decisions matters most. You’ll see what that looks like up close—from walking our orchards during cherry harvest to standing on the packing line watching millions of pounds of fruit move through our facilities. You’ll leave with hands-on experience across the full data stack, a portfolio of work with real business impact, and an understanding of the tree fruit industry.
